Katherine is the co-founder and CEO of Flo Recruit. Katherine attended the University of Texas at Austin after receiving Texas Exes' premier, full-ride, merit-based scholarship, the Forty Acres Scholarship. She graduated from the Plan II Honors Program and is one class shy of her Mechanical Engineering degree. While at UT Austin, Katherine co-founded Genesis, a student-alumni joint venture that provides non-dilutive, pre-seed capital to Longhorn founders. During her time on the leadership team at Genesis, she helped raise over $1,000,000 to fund Genesis and student entrepreneurs. Upon graduation from Plan II, Katherine left UT Austin to pursue Flo Recruit full time with her co-founder, Atreya Misra. They made the leap together to join Y Combinator's Summer 2019 Batch. Following the batch, they raised a $1,000,000 seed round with investors like Y Combinator, Dorm Room Fund, LiveOak Venture Partners, Teamworthy Ventures, Capstar Partners led by Steve Hicks, Thomas Lehrman (co-founder of GLG), AJ Bruno (co-founder of TrendKite) and other individuals and funds. Now, they're growing Flo Recruit together to be the top software designed for companies to hire the best at the thousands of hiring events across the world.
